While the majority of our customers are from the Calhoun County, Anniston area, as a Certified Farmers Market recognized by the Alabama Farmers Market Authority in Montgomery, Alabama, we see customers from cities near and far. Our diverse group of farmers also draws shoppers from their home counties of Blount, Clay, Etowah, Randolph, St. Clair, and Talladega. Our shoppers are consistent with the demographic makeup of Central and Northeast Alabama at-large. If you do business in Alabama, your customers are here!

A High-Visibility Sponsorship Opportunity: More personal than just social media banners—which are included! Your company/brand will be prominently displayed in the open-air venue of the newly renovated City Market Building, which now houses THE Downtown Market. Sponsors are also listed on our website, included in our digital weekly newsletter, and will be listed on all print media including market t-shirts for the 2024 season.

Tax Deductibility: Donations to THE Downtown Market are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

TIERS OF SPONSORSHIP

Tilth Sponsor $250: Our tilth sponsors help with market events such as themed days. These days are large draws, especially for families, and include children’s crafts, food, supplies, and entertainment. Tilth Sponsorship is exclusive for each event. An example would be, “THE Downtown Market celebrates Dads and Grads Saturday, June 15^th, brought to you by *your company*!”

Cultivator Sponsor $500: Our cultivator sponsors help with advertising. THE Downtown Market is in a new location for the 2024 season, and we need to get the word out! By becoming a Cultivator Sponsor, you can help! These dollars are used for paid ads and promotional materials including signage, branded t-shirts, and reusable shopping bags.

Harvest Sponsor $1000: Our harvest sponsors make the greatest impact for the community. These dollars are used to fund Healthy Bucks, Double Bucks, and Children’s Market Bucks, distributed to qualifying shoppers and redeemable at THE Downtown Market for produce, honey, canned goods, and prepared food items (except as excluded by SNAP benefit guidelines in respect to Double Bucks.) Market bucks benefit both shoppers and farmers/growers/producers as they infuse revenue while also bringing fresh, quality products to seniors, families, and those with limited to fixed incomes.

Friend of the Market $1500: THE Downtown Market is looking for sponsorship for our market season’s entertainment. This year’s market will run from the first weekend in May through the first weekend in October. During those 20+ weeks, we will strive to offer a local musical guest with a budget of approximately $75 per week. These guests have proven invaluable to the market for drawing shoppers as they create a fun and festive atmosphere that even passersby want to be part of. Friend of the Market sponsorship entitles the giver to more prominent recognition, with premier logo placement on all print media advertising.
